Believe you can get a yes! What on Earth does that mean? Great question. We live in a world of the “Yes/No” factor. Each day we either get a yes or a no for a series of questions or scenarios in our lives. For example, Did I get approved for the mortgage for my dream home? Did I get the raise at my job that I have been wanting? Did I book that audition I know I’m perfect for?
Life is a series of questions and answers. After facing “no” so many times, we forget that we actually have power. We forget that we can change the very outcome in our lives that we are so desperately afraid of going wrong. In fact, when you constantly allow fear to rule you in your thoughts and actions, NO will be the norm. It will be the norm so much so that getting a YES for anything you want feels nearly impossible.
Well if any of this resonates with you (for most it should), there is a way to change it. There is a way to shift to creating what you want. It isn’t a matter of simply saying “Ok I will be positive now and everything will be great.” It is a fundamental shift that you can CHOOSE to make right now and continue to make each and everyday.
Whenever you are wanting a YES (see examples above) but feel the doubt creeping in…
“You’ve already been told no, what makes this time different?”
“I don’t know…do you really think it’s possible?”
“It would be great if they said YES, but what are the chances?”
Simply, WELCOME THE DOUBT!

When we learn to work with our fear and doubt instead of against it, we can actually begin to understand why it is there in the first place. We can thank it for protecting us. For being there to make sure we are OK. After all..
FEAR IS JUST A PROTECTION MECHANISM
So why would you shun the very part of you that wants to make sure that you alright? Just thank it, and move on to the next part…
2. CHOOSE DIFFERENTLY
The next part of shifting out of fear and doubt after you’ve acknowledge and thanked it, you can make a choice to think differently. You can then say, “I choose to believe I will get a YES.” Or maybe something like “I acknowledge you fear for being present. And I thank you. Right now, I am choosing different. I am choosing to believe I will get a YES.”
3. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT
The more you practice this shifting, the easier it will become. And the more “yeses” you will have in your life.
- Practice acknowledging your fear every time it comes up over the next week
- Thank your fear every time it comes up
- Choose differently. SAY IT OUT LOUD “In this moment I choose differently. I choose to believe I will get a YES”
